My mom is currently in an induced coma, and she is fighting for her life. How I know this? Because she’s been a fighter her whole life.
Since birth my mom has been a sick child. At age two she was diagnosed with bronchitis. Being in the Philippines my grandma had no money to bring her to the doctor, so she had to live with it. It only got worse from there. At the age of eleven, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctors operated on her and took out her right lung. You see, my mom wasn’t suppose to have kids .. yet she had three. My two younger brothers and I. After my younger brother was born, that’s when everything started going down hill for my mom. She slipped into a coma for several weeks and the doctors wanted to pull the plug. My grandma fought and yelled until the doctors decided to leave my mom on the machines at my grandmas request. Four hours later, my mom woke up from the coma. After the coma she went through therapy to help her do everything again such as walk, write, and talk. She recovered and finally came home with us. But ever since that coma, my mom would always get sick near our birthday. Yes, I said our birthday. My mom and I have the same birthday, neat isn’t it? Now at the age of forty-three, her body is starting to give up. Her heart is having to work twice as hard to maintain the stability for that one fragile lung she has, my mom is truly a fighter. For thirty-two years she lived with one lung, I’m truly blessed to have had my mom survive this long. I really wish to see her recover, but this is all in Gods hands. If you read this whole thing, I thank you and ask if you could please keep her in your prayers. My family and I would gladly appreciate it.
If you have any comments, prayers, questions about my mom or just anything in general you can leave them in my tumlbr.com/ask. Thank you all for your support.
